Collaboration Provides Hunger Relief

On July 21, 2016, in conjunction with the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry the Humanitarian Service Project (HSP) held a "mobile food pantry" at its facility. This was the second such event the two local charities held this summer. The two charities came together to collaborate on these events to ensure the families who rely on the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry would have a nutritious source for food as the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry was closed for remodeling. Their combined efforts allowed them to serve 207+ families and individuals in June and July, by distributing nutritious groceries, non-perishables and personal hygiene products to those that came.

Both HSP and the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry focus on providing access to nutritious food to local community members impacted by hunger. With thousands of interventions between the two agencies each year, the two groups are devoted to making an impact in DuPage County. For more information on these respective agencies, please see:
