Yorkville's Mark Knox joins Fox Valley Habitat board
Yorkville resident Mark A. Knox, CPA, has been elected to the board of directors of Aurora-based Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity.
Board members elected Knox to a three-year term at the board's July 7 meeting. He will serve on the affiliate's finance committee and a fund development committee.
A former Habitat volunteer in Georgia, Knox has volunteered with Kendall County Public Action to Deliver Shelter since 2015.
Knox is resource management forecasting director at AGL Resources Inc. in Naperville. AGL, an Atlanta, Ga.-based energy services holding company, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Southern Company, which has 11 electric and natural gas utilities with operations across the U.S.
Knox leads a team that develops periodic resource and work-demand forecasts for six natural gas local distribution companies across six states. Knox has served on Nicor Gas ethics committees since 2005 and is a Senn Delaney trained facilitator.
In addition to Illinois CPA registration, he earned a master of business administration degree from DePaul University and a bachelor's degree from Western Illinois University.
