Shredding, E-Cycling event Saturday in East Dundee

The village of East Dundee is hosting a "Shredding and E-Cycling Event" from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 16, in its downtown district.

The activity will be held in the parking lot behind Depot Dogs, which will be open for lunch. Access the lot from Railroad Street and exit using Hill Street.

There is a limit of three banker-size boxes of documents per person for this event that is free for Dundee residents; $5 for nonresidents.

Participants also will be able to drop off electronics that include TVs, computers, keyboards, printers, VCRs and DVD players, fax machines and cellphones at this event as well. Items such as microwaves, batteries, ink cartridges or cassettes are not allowed. There will be staff on hand to help with the heavy lifting.

E-cycling is free to Dundee residents; $5 for nonresidents.
