Office, Commercial Real Estate Expo set

SCHAUMBURG - The annual Office and Commercial Real Estate Expo, hosted by BOMA/Suburban Chicago, returns to Drury Lane Oakbrook Terrace on Feb. 25.

The Expo is a trade show and commercial real estate networking event. It features 87 exhibits, a local suburban property focus, free admission, Pre-Expo Keynote Lunch, refreshments, prizes, entertainment and networking. There will also be special prize drawings just for Building Engineers, as well as the annual BOMA CAN Construction Project to benefit Northern Illinois Food Bank.

Preceding the trade show, the Pre-Expo Keynote Lunch will feature a panel discussion by police and fire personnel from local agencies addressing the topic, "Emergency Preparedness for Today's Evolving Threats: What Property/Facility Managers Need to Know." Property professionals face all types of emergencies and BOMA/Suburban Chicago has brought together this panel to discuss some of those events. The key, of course, is being prepared and our panelists will help all property management teams who attend Expo 2016 gain that knowledge. The panelists will address preparedness for mitigation, response, and recovery to these evolving and changing emergencies in today's commercial real estate environment.

The informational and interactive discussion will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. The Pre-Expo Keynote Lunch requires preregistration and a fee: $40 for BOMA/Suburban Chicago members, $55 for nonmembers.

The Expo, taking place from 1:30 to 6 p.m., is free and open to commercial property professionals: building owners, property or facility managers, architects, building engineers, property assistants, leasing agents, and asset managers. Vendors who are not exhibitors will not be admitted. Preregistration is not required for the EXPO - but qualifies attendees for a special prize drawing.
