Learn about Mission in Action-Helping to Save the Environment Jan. 31

The Social Action Committee presents "Mission in Action - Helping to Save the Environment" during the Sunday, Jan. 31, at the 9:30 a.m. service at Prince of Peace United Methodist Church, 1400 S. Arlington Heights Road in Elk Grove Village.

As part of the church's commitment to care for the earth, the Social Action Committee has invited the founder of SCARCE to speak to the congregation and community guests.

SCARCE is an environmental education association, which collects items destined for landfills and identifies groups, such as schools and hospitals that have a need for those items.

All are welcome to attend and discover how their trash can benefit someone else while protecting our environment.
