Judson to welcome author Carlos Whittaker to chapel Nov. 13

Judson University prepares to welcome author and speaker Carlos Whittaker to chapel at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13, in Herrick Chapel, 1151 N. State St., Elgin. This chapel service will also include several prospective students and their parents for the last Preview Day event of the semester.

A blogger at carloswhittaker.com, Whittaker is also the author of the 2014 book, "Moment Maker: You Can Live Your Life or It Will Live You" (Zondervan). In 2010, he posted the viral video, "Single Lady Devastation" of his toddler son, who broke down in tears after being told he was not a single lady as discussed in this pop tune. The YouTube video has had more than 7 million views.

Whittaker also gained national attention after his appearance on a 2007 episode of the reality show, "LA Ink," when he got an elaborate sleeve tattoo depicting Saul on the road to Damascus.

Judson University chapel services are free and open to the public.
