Watch City Lodge 131 hosts Back-to-School Haircut

Watch City Lodge 131, Free & Accepted Masons - Prince Hall Affiliated, hosted their annual Back-to-School Haircut event on Saturday, Aug. 15.

Several school-age male students from the Elgin community received free haircuts and school supplies. The event was held at the Elgin Township office, 729 S. McLean Blvd, Elgin.

Barbers Billy Highe of Bea's Touch of Styles and Alan Walker provided their services.

According to Jerry Alexander, Worshipful Master of Watch City Lodge 131, "Our lodge is delighted to provide services to the Elgin community. We value education very highly, and we are especially interested in seeing our youth get off to a good start in school!

"We thank our partners at the Elgin Township for providing a venue for this community event," Alexander continued.
