A Social Movement is About to Launch in Naperville
It's not often you hear a mother willing to be open about the ups and downs of her personal parenthood journey or, for that matter, turn her life's journey into a business. Ms. Sandison has carried around for years a simple idea, as a result of her own experiences, to make social emotional learning strategies accessible for parents and children. Ms. Sandison created her business Posikidly to do just that - act as the channel in which these ideas and resources flow through. As the first outward expression of Posikidly into the community, Ms. Sandison penned and self-published her first children's book, The Luckiest Kid.
"I'm just a mom with some stories to tell that I think can both entertain and teach", said Sandison. "I'm just a mom, but also a living example of using social emotional tools with my family. My book subtly disguised a lesson within a story that came directly from my real-life - and to me, that is Posikidly."
This free event will allow for an opportunity to meet and talk with Ms. Sandison, view or purchase The Luckiest Kid children's book, as well as feature a short video throughout the evening to further drive community support and understanding of the Posikidly mission. Sandison notes, "Posikidly is more than a word - it's a social movement; helping parents raise confident, positive children by incorporating tools into the community."
