Five charged after Huntley raid nets more than $700,000 in drugs, cars

A judged jailed a Huntley man on a $1 million bail following a raid on his home that netted luxury vehicles and drugs worth more than $700,000 on the street, police say. Group raises concern over state's proposed pot-DUI threshold

The Schaumburg-based Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists is opposing a move by state legislators that would set a 15-nanogram threshold for driving under the influence of THC - the active chemical in marijuana - for drivers to be considered legally impaired. Police: Skokie bank robber tried in Mt. Prospect first

Police believe a man who attempted to rob a Mount Prospect bank Wednesday morning went on to rob a Skokie bank about an hour later. The robber's physical descriptions match video surveillance from both banks, as well as a baseball cap that he's wearing, police said. Full story.

Egg Harbor Cafe is first tenant of Barrington Village Center

After years of trying to find the right development for a key downtown intersection, Barrington finally has its first business tenant on the publicly owned land at Hough and Main Streets.
