Spring cleaning? Donate items to wildlife center's sale

The Fox Valley Wildlife Center is in need of gently used items for its annual fundraiser.

If you have an item you no longer have a use for, make a tax-deductible donation to this very worthy cause.

Drop-off dates are from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursdays, April 9, 16 and 30; and Saturdays, April 11 and 25.

Donations must be brought to the barn at 45W061 Route 38, Elburn.

Acceptable items include musical instruments, costumes, kitchen and entertaining items, antiques and collectibles, art, bath items and towels, bedding and blankets, bird feeders and birdbaths, books, CDs, DVDs, records, buttons, dolls, foreign money, garden items and yard art, interesting jewelry, toys, games and puzzles, knickknacks, luggage, patio furniture, pet items, sporting equipment, table linen, tools indoor or outdoor, wooden furniture.

No upholstered furniture, car seats, clothing or shoes, electronics, large appliances, corporate coffee mugs, reference or text books, VHS tapes will be accepted.

Then plan to attend the annual Barn & Plant Sale, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, May 14-16, at the barn at Fox Valley Wildlife Center in Elburn Forest Preserve, on Route 39, one mile west of Route 47.
