Ravinia District Introduces Third Thursdays

The Ravinia District is proud to kick-off "Third Thursdays" on April 16th from 5-8pm. The monthly themed evenings will offer the public an opportunity to discover the District's diverse shopping, dining and essential services, as many stay open late, holding special promotions, hosting entertainment, and serving refreshments.

"Design and Dine", the inaugural Third Thursdays event on April 16th, will showcase the District's home focused businesses, with receptions hosted by Full Circle Architects at 737 St. Johns Avenue and Design Quartet at Ravinia at 595 Roger Williams Avenue. Both businesses will lead a discussion on "How to begin your new home design project." Ravinia District restaurants will provide refreshments. Attendees who visit both businesses on April 16th will be eligible to enter raffles.

"We have a wonderful neighborhood of diverse, unique, owner operated businesses." says Dan Baigelman, owner of Full Circle Architects, "We are very excited to be working with other area businesses, including Highland Park Bank and Trust and J A Palminteri Insurance Agency, both of whom will be onsite to provide valuable consumer information at our first Design and Dine event."

Other businesses open late during the April 16th Design and Dine include: Arthur Feldman Gallery, DS Cosmetics, Field Violin Workshop, Jeff Cohen Photography, Jill Alberts Jewelry, SoShee Boutique, The Nail Shop, and more. Visit Calm Massage Therapy for a complimentary chair massage and product samples and Weiland Flowers for a free mini fresh flower arrangement while supplies last.

Come early or stay late for dinner, drinks or dessert at the District's well-known and lively restaurants: Abigail's, Happi Sushi, Merlo's and Ravinia Barbecue. If there is no time to linger over dinner, Piero's or Hunan Pearl make it simple to bring home a meal for the entire family.

Ravinia District's Third Thursdays will feature several themes throughout 2015 including: 80's night, an outdoor family festival, martinis and makeovers, a progressive holiday party, and quarterly Design and Dine evenings. Other District "Doings" to watch for include: Mother's Day Shopping Night on May 7th; Ravinia Farmers Market beginning in June; and the very first Ravinia District Fall Festival celebrating music and community is scheduled for October 2nd and 3rd.
