The Label Printers wins TLMI's Eugene Singer Award For Management Excellence

The Label Printers has once again won the Tag and Label Manufacturers Institute Inc. Eugene Singer Award for Management Excellence.

Lori Campbell, chief of operations, said in an email to notify all of the company's employees about this sixth consecutive Singer Award, "Hearty and heartfelt congratulations and appreciation for the hard work that goes into achieving this award. We compete against some of the best companies in our industry and it is truly an honor to be recognized."

TLMI calls "the prestigious Eugene Singer Award for Management Excellence … one of the Tag and Label Manufacturers Institute's highest honors … this award recognizes excellence in business management, measured and defined by an established set of ratios through the participation in the TLMI Management Ratio Study. The Singer Award is given annually to four narrow web converting companies; each company within a certain sales range category (which are): Small company - annual sales of less than $6 million, Midrange company - annual sales of $6 to $14 million, Medium company - annual sales of $15 to $35 million, and Large company - annual sales greater than $35 million."

The Label Printers won in the Medium category.

The Singer Award is a coveted honor both because it validates the performance of strong companies, but also because the companies submitting applications for it represent nearly 40% of the North American label market, and include the biggest competitors in the business.

Campbell says, "The Singer Award is, and has been, an honor. There is real value for The Label Printers in the TLMI Management Ratio Study, which is a huge TLMI member benefit, and a heavy influencer in new member sign ups. The Singer Award provides us with statistics that allow us to compare ourselves to all of the other participants in the study on an apples to apples basis [not by name, but by metric]. The data is broad-based and sorted by average, mean, etc. It's the best benchmarking tool available to companies in our industry. It doesn't mean that we don't have work to do - we know that we can't get complacent - but it gives us goals for the coming year."

The company has now won the award for the sixth time in a row, in their sixth year of eligibility.
