The District seeks teacher assistants to work with students under the direction of a licensed teacher. Assistants help with classroom activities, assist with lesson plans and assignments, handle some clerical work, and help teachers create a safe and positive learning environment. The District is seeking to hire immediately; positions are full time during the school year.

Through its seven schools, East Maine School District 63 serves a diverse population of more than 3,600 students who live in portions of Des Plaines, Niles, Glenview, Park Ridge, and Morton Grove. More than 65 languages are spoken within the district; approximately 80 percent of the students come from homes in which a language other than English is spoken. District 63 is an inclusive district, offering a full range of services for academic, social, emotional, and physical growth - including cutting edge special education and ESL/bilingual programs.
