Trinity Lutheran Church gives over $100,000 to Loaves & Fishes

Every year for the past 8 years, Trinity Lutheran Church of Lisle has encouraged it's members to consider spending less on gifts at Christmas time and giving more to benefit those in need in our community and in our world. They call it Advent Conspiracy. Each year, a different organization is chosen by the church community to receive the money raised. This year Trinity had a record-breaking year, collecting $101,578.16, which has been given to Loaves & Fishes Community Services, located in Naperville, which serves all of DuPage County. The initial goal was to be able to bless Loaves & Fishes with enough money to cover the expenses for milk and eggs for an entire year, but through the generosity of its members, Trinity Lutheran Church was able to provide exceedingly more than that. Senior Pastor Mark Schulz was very honored to present the check to the people of Loaves & Fishes at its worship services on Sunday, January 25th, and to show Trinity's mission to help people to look, live and love more like Jesus everyday in action in the community.
