ami ami Hosts North Shore's Exclusive Pre-Oscar Red Carpet Party
Who doesn't daydream of walking the red carpet at the Academy Awards with paparazzi lights flashing, or being a guest at one of the pre- or post Oscar parties? On Thursday, February 19th from 5-8 pm, Highland Park's ami ami, is making it happen! The most fashion forward boutique on the North Shore is hosting an exclusive Pre-Oscar Red Carpet Party bursting with Hollywood lights, fashions and delectables that are served at the star-studded Oscars, Grammys and Golden Globes. Come get a taste of what it's like to walk the red carpet.
ami ami will transform into a scene from "Red Carpet Live," complete with Hollywood glitz and glamour and paparazzi taking pictures of guests life-sized celebrity cut-outs for a memorable souvenir.
The public is invited to come out, get glammed up, and celebrate ami ami's official grand opening and successful transition back to Highland Park. Women will be treated to complimentary celebrity makeovers from Cos Bar beauty artists and Oscar style swag bags.
Attendees will eat like Stars while mingling and talking runway trends. Highland Park native Scott Fischer, from Season 1 of MasterChef, will be providing his gourmet cookies, served to the stars at the Grammys and Oscars, as well as Morton Grove's Lifeway Foods, whose dessert confections were served at the Golden Globes. Don't have a sweet tooth? No problem! Fresh sushi and sashimi will be provided from sushi chefs at Sunset Foods.
"Our customers truly are our celebrities, and they deserve to be treated as so," says co-owner Merrie Spade. "We are excited to host such a fun grand opening extravaganza and bring out the girls in all their glam!"
Taking place just before the 2015 Oscars, everyone will have the opportunity to cast their ballot for their Oscar predications, and a chance to win a $500 shopping spree and more! The winner will be announced after the Oscars air on February 22nd.
