Chicago man admits to suburban burglary spree

A Chicago man who last July burglarized several homes in Arlington Heights and Mount Prospect and one home in Inverness was sentenced to six years in prison in exchange for pleading guilty.

Jeremy Driscoll, 27, pleaded guilty to multiple residential burglary charges Wednesday, according to court records.

Burglary charges are pending against Driscoll's co-defendant, Steven Brown, who is scheduled to stand trial Feb. 9.

Authorities say the men took credit cards, electronics and jewelry, which police recovered from their apartments.

Driscoll, who received credit for 273 days in custody, was also ordered to pay $689 in fines, records show. He must complete at least 50 percent of his sentence before he is eligible for parole.
