Pancake breakfast, family night and fish fries at Virgil church

February is a busy month at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 5N939 Meredith Road in Virgil, for family events.

From 7 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, there will be a pancake breakfast with eggs, sausage, applesauce, plus a beverage for $10 per family.

On Friday, Feb. 13, join the fun for Chili Bingo family night from 6 to 9 p.m. Dinner includes a variety of homemade chili plus all the fixings for $7. Children under 5 are free. Bingo begins at 7 p.m. with a variety of prizes for children and adult. There is a monetary donation to play bingo. Call (630) 365-6618 for information.

Starting Feb. 20 through March 27, the best fish fries in the Fox Valley will be served every Friday during Lent from 5 to 8 p.m. Dinner includes baked cod, fried perch, baked potato or fries, green beans, cole slaw, applesauce, roll, dessert and beverage.

Cost is $11, $4 for kids, age 5-10, and free for those under age 5. Shrimp, pop, wine or beer is extra. A special Serbian baked cod will be served March 6 only. There is also a bake sale of homemade treats weekly. Carryouts are available. Call (630) 365-6618 for information and carryouts.
