Attend artist's open house at Elgin gallery Nov. 22

You are invited to attend the Guge's annual open house art sale, featuring award-winning wood sculptures, from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, and noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at the Elgin Artspace Lofts Gallery, 51 S. Spring St. in Elgin.

This is the first year for Josh Guge to be doing this show on his own. In previous years, this show was done as a family event - father, son and other siblings with various art types. Last November, Bob Guge passed away from brain cancer. Since that time, Josh has continued the work his father started.

Josh Guge is a world-champion wood sculptor with a specialty in birds and fish. He recently moved his work studio to Elgin Artspace Lofts in December 2013. He teaches many local students all a variety of ages at his Elgin location - many of these students will have their pieces on display at the art sale.

Customers are able to purchase items on hand or place orders in time for the holidays. To learn more about Josh, visit www.joshguge.com or to learn how to sign up for classes at the Guge Institute and Art Studio, visit www.gugeinstitute.com.
