Suspect in Gurnee, Crystal Lake crimes captured in Wisconsin

A man wanted in connection with multiple crimes in Lake and McHenry counties has been arrested in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, authorities said.

Wallace Henshall, 50, of the 1100 block of Idlewood Drive, Round Lake, remains held in Walworth County Jail on $345,000 bail. He was in possession of a gun when he was taken into custody Nov. 6 outside a Lake Geneva Walmart by officers with the McHenry County Sheriff's Office and the Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force, authorities said.

Henshall faces attempted retail theft, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct charges alleging he tried to steal from the Menards store on Grand Avenue in Gurnee on Oct. 30.

He's also facing charges of burglary, possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of burglary tools out of Crystal Lake, authorities said.
