Judson welcomes audience participation for 'Altar-ed: Scenes in a Bridal Shop'

The Judson University Theater Program invites the community to join them for "Altar-ed: Scenes in a Bridal Shop" at 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, Oct. 24 to Nov. 1, in the Performance Hall at Thompson Center, 1151 N. State St., Elgin.

Like last fall's successful "Brew Ha-ha" production, "Altar-ed" will give audience members an opportunity to become part of the act by dressing up as brides, grooms or any member of the bridal party. Expect this zany, comedic production to be a lively interactive take on a day at a bridal shop, where associates Richard and Anna attempt to fulfill the outlandish dreams of various couples.

This show reunites local director McHenry County's Kellee Stall, whose successes include "Spoon River" and "Brew Ha-ha," with alumnus and adjunct Ashley (McCambridge) Mowers 2011 in her playwriting debut, and students Adam Moxness and Kayla Nicosia as composer and lyricist, respectively. They encourage the audience to become part of this event by coming dressed as a wedding guest or as part of the bridal party.

Tickets are $10, $5 for students, or $8 for seniors and groups of 15 or more. Tickets can be ordered by calling the box office at (847) 628-2625.
