Des Plaines Camera Club (DPCC) begins its 2014 season

Des Plaines Camera Club (DPCC) begins its 2014 season packed with a variety of programs including photographic presentations such as specializing in B & W, urban photography, education covering camera technique and process technique, competition in both print and digital formats as well as community activities.

The DPCC is a group of individuals who share an interest in photography. The club provides encouragement to members to expand their interests in photography in which they not only learn from one another, but also have an outlet for their creative interest. The club is a member of the Chicago Area Camera Clubs Association (CACCA) and enters monthly inter-club contest.

The first meeting will be on September 8, 2014. This meeting will cover an overview of the upcoming year, various business aspects and presentation of club member's summer activity photography competition.

September 22rd will be the first competition for members to submit their print and digital entries.

Save October 27 for a presentation by John Batdorff, a Chicago based photographer. John specializes in black and white. He is the author of two books: 'Black and White from Snapshots to Great Shots' and 'Plug in With NIK'.

The Des Plaines Camera Club meets on the second and fourth Monday of each month September thru May. Meetings begin at 7:00 pm in the Des Plaines Park District Arndt Field House located at 1990 White Street in Des Plaines. Whatever level of interest in photography you have, all are cordially invited to attend a meeting.
