Bolstered by 30 years in the design, construction, and marketing of trend setting restaurants, Joe Romeo on May 12 opened Spears Bourbon-Burgers-Beer. A warm, open space greets and welcomes customers. Fire pits warm the outdoor patio while inside refurbished barn wood and strategically-placed vintage pictures of bourbon, burgers, and beer recreate their journey. There is a full, custom-made bar, comfortable dining for 140 guests, and inviting atmosphere, including a vintage community table for those who are seeking a more socially-spirited experience.
Spears Bourbon-Burgers-Beer's focus on bourbon, a concept unrivaled in the Chicago area, was sparked by and is in the tradition of the drink, which is a strong cultural element of America's rich history, and often referred to as "America's own spirit." Romeo named the restaurant after Jacob Spears, who is credited as the first distiller to actually label his product "Bourbon," after Bourbon County, Kentucky.
Cocktails are prepared by knowledgeable bartenders who know the process of making, mixing, and drinking high quality beverages as well as pairing the drinks with all-American natural gourmet burgers.
Spears Bourbon-Burgers-Beer's customers range from families looking to eat out, to those looking for great local music and sports entertainment on large flat screen TVs for all sporting events, to craft beer and bourbon connoisseurs. High end ingredients are put together thoughtfully by a skilled kitchen team. They even offer American homemade apple pie.
"We are the place to find craft beers and bourbons, live music, good food, and courteous service all in a family friendly atmosphere. We celebrate American history and its accomplishments," said Romeo.
