• Vandals damaged a statue and fountain Aug. 11 outside a building on the 200 block of South Main Street. Damage was estimated at $5,000.

Elk Grove Village

• Thieves used hand tools and a jack between 11 p.m. Aug. 3 and 1 a.m. Aug. 4 to lift a 2004 Volvo semi-tractor at 901 Nicholas Blvd. Offenders stole 10 tires and rims. Value was estimated at $5,000.

• Thieves stole a 2015 Prostar International truck/tractor around 1:52 a.m. Aug. 3 in the dock area at a business at 1325 Chase Ave. Value was estimated at $120,000.

• Thieves stole a 2010 International semi-tractor between Aug. 1 and 7 at 1100 Chase Ave. Value was estimated at $30,000.

• Thieves stole a 2010 Great Dane refrigerated trailer between Aug. 1 and 4 out of a lot at Grecian Delight Foods, 1201 Tonne Road. The trailer was loaded with food sauce. Value was estimated at $80,000.

• Melchor Navarete, 34, of the 3500 block of West Hirsch, Chicago, was arrested around noon July 31 at the courthouse, 2121 Euclid Ave., Rolling Meadows, and charged with felony theft.

• A male shoplifter was seen on a security video talking four bottles of liquor valued at $241 around 11:48 p.m. Aug. 1 from Lively Liquors, 1700 E. Higgins Road.

Hanover Park

• Burglars stole a wallet around 10 a.m. Aug. 13 out of an unlocked vehicle on the 1300 block of Kingsbury.

• Burglars stole a backpack, laptop computer and personal documents around 2:40 p.m. Aug. 13 on the 7600 block of Bristol.

• Ivan D. Calderon Marroquin, 33, of the 1800 block of Briarwood, Hanover Park, was arrested around 1:44 a.m. Aug. 13 at his home and charged with aggravated assault.

• Angel Christopher Aguilar, 22, of the 1500 block of Royal Boulevard, Elgin, was arrested around 10:55 p.m. Aug. 12 on the 1800 block of Wright and charged with disorderly conduct.

• Halle A. Long, 53, of the 1600 block of Sheffield Court, Elgin, was arrested around 11 p.m. Aug. 11 on the 7000 block of Chestnut and charged with aggravated battery and aggravated DUI.

• Omar E. Martillo-Burgos, 24, of the 200 block of National Street, Elgin, Luis E. Lara, 22, of the 300 block of Crystal, Elgin, Jesus Sotelo, 22, of the 100 block of Porter, Elgin, and a juvenile were arrested around 9:19 p.m. Aug. 10 on the 6000 block of Pine Tree and charged with disorderly conduct.

• Casey J. Brown, 21, and Amy S. Brown, 23, both of the 6200 block of Gold Circle, Hanover Park, were arrested around 2:44 p.m. Aug. 9 at their home and charged with assault.

Hoffman Estates

• Two men working together stole razor blades at 7:25 p.m. June 1, 7 p.m. July 5 and 8:40 a.m. Aug. 8 from Walgreens, 1000 N. Roselle Road. Employees saw one man enter the store alone. He may have hidden the razor blades in a bag but left without carrying anything. The second man entered the store and quickly fled, carrying a bag over his head to avoid the security sensor at the door. Value of the stolen items for the June and July thefts was estimated at $1,650.

• Burglars stole a wallet between 4 p.m. Aug. 10 and 8:30 a.m. Aug. 11 out of a purse in a 2007 Honda CR-V on the 4500 block of Opal Drive. Value was estimated at $30.

• Burglars broke into a 1999 Ford 350 van between 10 p.m. Aug. 8 and 6 a.m. Aug. 11 on the 4200 block of Eisenhower Circle and stole a power drill valued at $150.

• Burglars tried but failed to enter a 2013 Lark trailer between July 15 and Aug. 8 at Accuquest, 2800 W. Higgins Road. Offenders used a crowbar to break a hole on the side of the trailer and damaged a door handle and frame. Damage was estimated at $500.

• Thieves stole a backpack from a chair between 3 and 4:30 p.m. Aug. 7 at the Willow Recreation Center, 3600 Lexington Drive. Value was estimated at $240.

• Burglars broke into the Golf Rose Car Wash, 105 E. Golf Road, between 6:15 p.m. Aug. 5 and 7:50 a.m. Aug. 6, but nothing appeared to be missing.

• Burglars broke into a home between 8 and 8:30 p.m. Aug. 6 on the 200 block of Batavia Lane and stole a pearl necklace valued at $2,000.

• Burglars broke into a 2013 Ford Econoline van between 10 p.m. Aug. 9 and 6 a.m. Aug. 10 in a driveway on the 3600 block of Whispering Trails and stole HVAC vacuum pump valued at $500, tools and copper.

• Burglars stole a cellphone valued at $599 between 5:39 and 8 p.m. Aug. 9 out of a 1993 Toyota Camry on the 4900 block of Dukesberry Lane.

• Burglars broke into a 2007 Chevrolet HHR between 8:30 p.m. Aug. 7 and 8 a.m. Aug. 8 in an apartment lot on the 1800 block of Bristol Walk and stole prescription sunglasses. The sunglasses were found later. Damage was estimated at $300.
