Elgin mayor to cook things up at the Downtown Elgin Harvest Market

Join the Downtown Neighborhood Association of Elgin at the Downtown Elgin Harvest Market this Thursday, July 3, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with City of Elgin's Mayor David Kaptain joining Chef Quincy Owens between noon to 2 p.m. in giving a cooking demonstration during their free children's program.

Grilling meat and trying some tasty vegetables are on the docket for all to try. Other groups participating in the children's program this week will be the CORE Project, Gail Borden Public Library, Kim's Black Belt Academy, and Side Street Studio Arts.
