Rockabilly Legend B.E. Pepper Rocks the House with Face N Time

Face N Time spanned generations and genres when Mississippi rockabilly legend B.E. Pepper joined them at Pier 99 Grill and Spirits in Lake Barrington Saturday night. There was no doubt where Face N Time lead vocalist, Jennifer Pepper Ramsey, inherited her musical talents as her father, known to friends and family as Jeep, rocked the keyboard for several tunes including "What's on Your Mind", which he recorded with singer/songwriter Shelby Smith in 1958.

The band practiced for the Peppers' visit so that Jennifer could play in a band with her father for the first time. They played several of Jeep's classics with him on keys, and he also took the vocals on Chuck Berry's "Memphis".

Lindy Alo, Face N Time manager and drummer, spoke for the entire band, "We are truly honored to play with such a legend! We all had a great time - Jeep shared many stories from his 50's music days." Plus, Lindy notes, 1958 was a great year - the year he was born!

Jeep complimented the band, calling them "tight", a phrase used to describe musicians who play together precisely and error free. Jennifer smiled and said, "We will take tight!"

Once again, the band that can play ANYTHING - even rockabilly - rocked the house! Join Face N Time: Jennifer Pepper Ramsey, Paul Allodi, James Wayman, Jim Henning and Lindy Alo at their next gigs and give them a like on Facebook!
