Bikers take to the road to benefit shelter animals

The third annual "Paws & Claws Unleashed" motorcycle charity ride will be held Sunday, June 1.

Proceeds will benefit Anderson Animal Shelter in South Elgin. The event is being organized by the shelter and Wildfire HOG Chapter 1084 in Villa Park.

Join them for a memorable 70-plus mile ride through the western suburbs with three stops along the way. The ride will start at Fox River Harley Davidson, 131 S. Randall Road, St. Charles.

Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. with the first bike out at 10 a.m. and the last bike out at 11:30 a.m. The ride will end at The Outpost, 40W825 Oak St., Pingree Grove. The after-party begins at 3 p.m.

Cost is $20 for a rider or $30 for a rider with passenger. To register, visit andersonanimalshelter.org.

Register early to avoid $5 day-of registration fee and to be entered in a drawing for a chance to win a $100 Visa gift card.

For those who don't ride, join the after-party for $15 at The Outpost in Pingree Grove for food, raffles and more.
