Hanover Township announces schedule for open gym program

Hanover Township's open gym program will return for the spring season beginning March 24.

Elementary and middle schools throughout the township have joined the program, designed to give kids a safe and fun place to go after classes.

Youngsters receive help with their homework and participate in a variety of free activities, including fitness classes.

The township has announced the following schedule for students on spring break:

• Monday, March 24, at Bartlett Elementary School, 111 E. North Ave., Bartlett, for kids ages 5 to 14.

• Tuesday, March 25, at Laurel Hill Elementary School, 1750 Laurel Ave., Hanover Park, for ages 5 to 14.

• Wednesday, March 26, at Canton Middle School, 1100 Sunset Circle, Streamwood, for ages 7 to 18.

• Thursday, March 27, at Huff Elementary School, 801 Hastings St., Elgin, for ages 5-14.

The open gym runs from noon to 4 p.m. at the four schools. For details, contact the Hanover Township Youth and Family Services at (630) 483-5799 or visit hanover-township.org.
