CCU hosts home energy savings seminar

Consumers Credit Union will present its no-cost seminar “Saving Energy and Money in Your Home” Thursday, Oct. 17. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the seminar starts at 6 p.m. at KeyLime Cove Resort, 1700 Nations Drive, Gurnee.

“We teamed up with North Shore Gas for this interesting and informative workshop because they have some very practical ways to save energy in the home, along with great tips on what to look for when shopping for new appliances,” said Sean M. Rathjen, president of member-owned CCU.

“Those attending the seminar will receive some great information they can put to use in their homes right away.”

Every home is different, and everyone has something different they want for their home. This workshop will demonstrate the best ways to save money, regardless of the type of residence.

Zoe Böttger, a representative from the North Shore Gas Natural Gas Savings Program, will share information about services and offerings available to homeowners, including Energy saving products provided and installed for free and rebates available for using energy-efficient products.

“Saving Energy and Money in Your Home” is open at no charge to CCU members and the public at large. The workshop is produced in conjunction with Consumers Cooperative Association, the credit union’s sponsor.

RSVP to Maria Contreras via email at mariac@myconsumers.org or call (847) 265-5531. Seating is limited.
