타 David M. Kubiak, 26, of the 42W500 block of Prairie Street, Sugar Grove, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after authorities found him sleeping at the wheel of his vehicle at 12:54 a.m. Monday at a gas station in the 200 block of Route 47 in Sugar Grove with the engine running and music blaring, according to a sheriff’s report.

타 Someone slashed two tires and cut the brake lines on a pickup truck on the 800 block of Hill Avenue near Aurora between 8:30 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Sunday, causing an estimated $500 damage, according to a sheriff’s report.

타 Someone threw a rock through a window at a vacant home on the 45W700 block of Route 38 near Maple Park between 9 a.m. Friday ad 9 a.m. Sunday, causing an estimated $1,000 damage, according to a sheriff’s report.

타 Bonnie E. Gabbard, 33, of the 7700 block of Wind Chime Drive, Knoxville, Tenn., and Curtis J. Renfro, 38, of the 3000 block of Huffs Ferry Road, Loudon, Tenn., were charged with felony possession of a controlled substance after a traffic stop at 12:26 p.m. Sept. 18 near Randall Road and Interstate 90 near Elgin, according to a sheriff’s report. Deputies found 27 small bags of heroin, a total of 12 grams, and hypodermic needles and syringes in the vehicle, the report said.
