The Stevenson High School Foundation and the Stevenson cross country teams will host the inaugural 5K Color Fun(d) Run at 9 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 22. The run will be staged on the Stevenson campus in Lincolnshire. It's a fundraiser for the Foundation's Kids In Need fund, which provides assistance for school-related expenses to Stevenson students whose families are in financial need. Participants will be splattered with vibrant colors made from food-grade cornstarch that are natural and safe. The race is not timed, so participants can complete the course any way they want. The registration fee is $25 per person. The rate drops to $20 per person for teams of five or more, but it's $30 on the day of the run. To register online, go to: tinyurl.com/shscolorfundrun.
