Frazier is a former Burlington Central student-athlete who was killed in an ambush while deployed in Afghanistan. Each year the school's athletic boosters honor his service and his sacrifice by making a contribution to the Illinois Military Family Relief Fund in his memory, awarding the Jacob L. Frazier Memorial Scholarship to two deserving Central High School seniors, and supporting the school's athletes. Proceeds from this event fund these initiatives.

The event committee is seeking donations in the form of tickets, gift certificates or items for the auction. There are also have several sponsorship opportunities available as an alternative to item donation. Contributions in either form will be recognized in the event program, print materials and on the booster club's website for a period of one year.
