Lt. governor candidate to speak to Palatine Republicans

The Palatine Township Republican Organization announced that GOP gubernatorial candidate and state Sen. Kirk Dillard of Hinsdale’s pick for lieutenant governor will speak at the regular monthly meeting of the group at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7. Dillard originally was the announced speaker, but now Dillard instead is sending his running mate, whose name is to be announced midweek, a party official said. The group expects it to be the first public appearance by the candidate. The event, which is free and open to the public, takes place at the PTRO office, 839 N. Quentin Road, Palatine. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. For more information, visit palatinerepublicans.org or call (847) 496-7871.
