Riverside Foundation 17th Annual Golf Outing is September 9

The Riverside Foundation's17th Annual Golf Outing will tee off Monday, September 9, 2013 at White Deer Run Golf Course in Vernon Hills.

The popular event is a charitable fundraiser for Riverside Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that provides the highest standard of care and a meaningful life experience for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities adults through its residential facility in Lincolnshire and its work/activity center in Vernon Hills.

The outing includes golf, lunch, afternoon beverages from a mobile drink cart, after golf cocktails, a buffet dinner, prizes, contests and more.

"In addition to golf, we have an exciting new Golf Outing Raffle with prizes that appeal to everyone, whatever your interests," said John Watson, chairman of the Golf Committee and Riverside Foundation board member. "Whether or not you golf that day, you can support Riverside by purchasing a $100 raffle ticket," Watson added.

The raffle grand prize is the winner's choice of one of four fantasy trips for two. These include a GOLF LOVERS GETAWAY with four nights at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, a round of golf at TPC and airfare; a MUSIC LOVERS GETAWAY with tickets to the concert of your choice in the continental US and two-night hotel stay, a WINE LOVERS GETAWAY with three nights at the Meritage Napa Valley, limo service, wine tasting, and lunch or dinner on the Napa Wine train and a SPORTS LOVERS GETAWAY with two lower level tickets to a regular season game of your choice and a two-night weekend stay. All trips include airfare.

Other prizes are an hour-long private aerial Chicago sightseeing tour; a weekend in a Porsche 911; golf and lunch at Conway Farms; assorted Blackhawk Stanley Cup memorabilia, and more.

The Riverside Golf Outing is sponsored by Baxter Credit Union, Agave Loco LLC and The Horton Group.

The organizing committee includes Pete Mulé, (Grayslake), Mike Warden (Vernon Hills), Peter Billmeyer (Chicago) and Lincolnshire residents John Watson, Steven Colburn, Tom Julius, Jim Schneiter and Cary McMillan.
