Raffle winners weren't the only ones cheering at the recent Beers to You fundraiser of the first Palatine Township Senior Citizens Council. The council applauded all those who contributed to the event where they raised $4,200.

At the June 5 fundraiser, people enjoyed pizza and sampled brews from the list of 18 beers on tap at Lamplighter Inn Tavern and Grille. And to satisfy people's snack craving, PTSCC sold pretzel necklaces for $2 or one ticket.
