Beers to You raises $4,200 for Palatine Senior Center
Raffle winners weren’t the only ones cheering at the recent Beers to You fundraiser of the first Palatine Township Senior Citizens Council. The council applauded all those who contributed to the event where they raised $4,200.
At the June 5 fundraiser, people enjoyed pizza and sampled brews from the list of 18 beers on tap at Lamplighter Inn Tavern and Grille. And to satisfy people’s snack craving, PTSCC sold pretzel necklaces for $2 or one ticket.
“All that attended from The Arlington Rehab had a wonderful time. It was very nice and well put together. Everyone was very friendly, and the raffle was an added bonus,” said Nicole Finnegan, admission director at the Arlington Rehabilitation & Living Center, which was a sponsor.
The most popular raffle items included a Patrick Sharp Chicago Blackhawks jersey; Kenny Chesney Corona cooler; a basket filled with a bottle of wine, Lamplighter Inn gift card; a VIP dinner package at Tony Sacco’s; a basket with a beautiful handmade quilt, Bath and Body Works products and one night stay at the Marriott Hotel in Hoffman Estates. The winners were enthusiastic and appreciative of winning some fabulous items while supporting the organization.
The 50/50 Raffle was a big hit as well.
