Citizens for Conservation call for volunteers

Citizens for Conservation restoration volunteers have launched a full summer schedule of restoration activities, working every Thursday and Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m.

Jobs include vital summer projects such as wetland plug planting and invasive plant control, both essential to the continued success and expansion of CFC’s award-winning preserves in the greater Barrington area.

Meet at CFC headquarters, at 459 West Highway 22, in Lake Barrington. Look for the white farmhouse with a silo across from Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital. Bring work gloves, dress for the weather. CFC will provide the tools.

For information, or to register business, corporate, youth or church work groups, call CFC at (847) 382-7283. All levels of experience are welcome.
