Eleven charities received grants from the Elgin Cosmopolitan Club at the June 11 meeting. The club distributed the $16,825 that was raised by club members from poinsettia sales during the winter holidays, a fall golf outing at Bartlett Hills and this year's annual spring entertainment dinner and entertainment night, which was the Second City Improv at the Villa Olivia banquet facility.
