Cook County Sheriff's Police are investigating the disappearance of a 68-year-old mentally ill woman who has been missing since May 9, Sheriff Thomas J. Dart said Wednesday. Marcella Somerville, originally of South Carolina, was in Maine Township to visit her Glenview-based sister. Police say Somerville, who is diagnosed with schizophrenia, fled the house when told she eventually would need to return to South Carolina. She left with $300 but without a vehicle or a cellphone, and is suspected to be at a local homeless shelter or train station. Anyone with information about her is asked to call (708) 865-4896.
