Walker, Grayslake North roll to victory

Brendan Walker scored 4 goals, as Grayslake North’s boys lacrosse team made quick work of Highland Park on Wednesday, winning 18-2.

A running clock was started with four minutes to go in the first half after the Knights jumped out to a 14-1 lead.

Walker, a second team all-state midfielder, added an assist. David Collins (2 assists) and AJ Fish added 3 goals apiece, while Freddie Williams had a pair. Tyler Lyon, Jack Donnellan, Farhan Khan, Jack Mattea, Spencer Davis and Ben Smith each found the back of the net for the Knights as well.

The defense was steady all night with Eric York leading the way in goal. Shane Peach, Kevin Carter and Ian Pearce were tough as always, coach Brad Fish said.

Next up for Grayslake North will be Benet Academy at home Saturday at 10 a.m.
