Kaneland Community Fine Arts Festival thanks the community

The easels have been packed up and the stands and microphones are stored for the next event. Artwork has been taken down and returned to the school where it was created. When the doors closed on the 14th Annual Kaneland Community Fine Arts Festival, the committee members collectively sighed in relief and rejoiced in another grand celebration of the Arts. It seems appropriate to take some time to express the deep and sincere thanks of the planning committee to the wonderful Kaneland community that opens its arms to the Arts year after year.

The Kaneland Community Fine Arts Festival (KCFAF) is produced by a paid staff of five dedicated individuals and a committee of 20 community and Kaneland staff members who devote their energy and time to the Arts. Besides the core group, the tireless effort of over 100 volunteers makes the event even more of a success. Festival volunteers helped professional artists, made balloon animals, painted faces, created art with Pre-K children, ushered in the auditorium, handed out programs, and much, much more. In addition to the volunteers, the Kaneland Fine Arts Faculty is instrumental in the success of the Festival, as they produce the tremendous artists and performers within the district as well as foster a curiosity for and love of the Arts.

The KCFAF is solely funded by grants and foundations as well as the generous donations of school and parent organizations, local businesses, and arts-minded individual patrons. The KCFAF is supported by grants from the Dunham Fund and the Kaneland Foundation. Thank you, Kaneland High School, Kaneland Harter Middle School PTO, Kaneland McDole Elementary School PTO, Kaneland Blackberry Creek Elementary School PTO, Kaneland John Shields Elementary School PTO, and Kaneland John Stewart Elementary School PTN for your constant support and generosity.

Besides the aforementioned funders and many individual arts patrons, the KCFAF is also very lucky to have local businesses give generously. Please help the KCFAF extend a heartfelt and thankful round of applause to the following businesses:
