'An Arts & Crafts Adventure' May 11 in Park Ridge

An adventure in paper, wood and glass awaits visitors to the 23rd annual "An Arts & Cafts Adventure" on Saturday, May 11 from 9am to 5pm. Admission is free.

This popular juried event brings artists and craftsartists from far and near across the Midwest to fill Hodges Park, 101 S Courtland (Prospect & Vine by Village Hall in Uptown Park Ridge) in Park Ridge, to exhibit an enticing variety of work they have created.

Exhibitors will be located on the grass alongside sidewalks which wind around and through the Park. Some of the work on display will include paintings, photography, graphics, garden art, woodworking, jewelry, glassworks, artwear and even woodworking, and fiber and floral crafts plus much more.

Art In Action is included in the show with some exhibitors working/demonstrating at their booths at various times during the show. All the exhibitors will be happy to discuss their work with you.

Programs will be available free of charge at the show listing the exhibitors, their mediums and showing their location in the show.

Area exhibitors include ASA member and popular long -time exhibitor Lois Bacarella, Park Ridge exhibiting her beautiful hand-crafted jewelry. Laura Nigro, Norridge, also an ASA member and popular returning exhibitor will exhibit her unique hand-crafted jewelry . Eriberta Vasquez, Park Ridge, will exhibit crocheted accessories and wearables. She will be working/demonstrating at various times at her booth. Denitza Manevesa, Des Plaines, also an ASA member will exhibit beautiful oil and watercolor paintings and graphics. She is also a popular returning exhibitor as is long time exhibitor and ASA member Michele Nichele, Des Plaines. She will be exhibiting her beautiful hand-cafted jewelery. Susan Intravaia,, Park Ridge, a new exhibitor in the show will exhibit beautiful crochet hats and accessories.
