SHS senior qualifies for math contest:

Stevenson High School senior Brandon Axe of Buffalo Grove is among the roughly 270 students in the country to qualify for the 42nd annual United States of America Mathematical Olympiad. The event is the nation’s top secondary school math contest. Axe qualified last year, too. The Olympiad takes place next week, with contestants being tested for nine hours during a two-day period. The top 12 scorers will be honored in Washington, D.C., on June 3.
