Lake County teachers OK after marathon

Two Lake County teachers were reported to be safe after running in Monday’s Boston Marathon.

Carrie Shea, 38, a seventh-grade math instructor at Highland Middle School in Libertyville, finished the race in what may have been a personal best 3:35:01, according to a spokeswoman. Shea and her family were doing well Monday night.

Stephen Heller, 48, a communication arts teacher at Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire, also participated in the marathon and clocked in at 3:46:35. Stevenson posted on Twitter that Heller was OK.
