Elk Grove Township Elementary District 59 has appointed Ben Grey to the position of chief innovation officer, beginning July 2013. Grey is currently serving as the chief information officer for Oak Lawn-Hometown District 123. Before that, he held the position of instructional technology coordinator for Barrington Unit School District 220. Grey also served as a classroom teacher in District 220 and Community Unit District 300 for several years. He has a bachelor's in elementary education from Judson University, a masters in science education from Walden University, and a general administrative certificate from Johns Hopkins University. He was named the Technology Administrator of the Year in Illinois in 2012.
