U-46 confirms Hanover Park student’s death

Elgin Area School District U-46 has confirmed that a Bartlett High School student from Hanover Park recently died, but details are vague. A statement from the district said: “We do not know the cause of death. The crisis team was activated to support the students and staff.” Hanover Park police said they recently conducted a death investigation, but would not confirm anything related to the investigation, as a toxicology report is pending. Deputy Chief Tom Cortese said there were no signs of foul play. A spokesman for the Cook County medical examiner’s office said the office was unable to confirm whether a Hanover Park teenager had died recently.
