Daily Herald report

Schaumburg's Director of Engineering & Public Works Steve Weinstock officially retired from the village last week and has been succeeded by interim director Anne Marie Gaura, the former village manager of Montgomery.

Schaumburg Village Manager Ken Fritz said the interim director was hired from outside the village because it was impractical to increase the workload of any of the department's existing superintendents during the search for Weinstock's replacement.
