The Vernon Area Public Library and the Stevenson High School Foundation will host a program about the witty speechmaking of former Illinois Gov. Adlai E. Stevenson II on Tuesday, Feb. 5. The program will begin at 7 p.m. in the Lincolnshire school's recital hall. Admission is free and open to the public. Libertyville native Joe Bean will lead the program, which is produced in part by the Illinois Humanities Council.
