Amann eclipses 1,000 points in Elk Grove victory

Senior guard Austin Amann made three 3s and finished with a game-high 27 points while surpassing 1,000 career points as visiting Elk Grove earned a 52-39 victory over Streamwood in nonconference play Tuesday.

The Grens (9-10) did not allow any Sabres player to score in double figures.

Sophomore guard Matt Wary had 7 points and junior forward Scott Furlong had 6 for Elk Grove, which produced an 18-point first quarter and led 31-17 at the half.
