Wheeling Park District to Host Preschool Open House

The Wheeling Park District will host a Preschool Open House on Wednesday, February 6, at 6:30 PM, for anyone interested in learning more about the program. Preschool teachers will be on hand to answer questions and offer tours of the facility.

The Wheeling Park District Preschool offers both morning and afternoon classes for three- and four- year-olds in a safe, clean facility featuring a secured playground and indoor gym. The spacious, kid-friendly classrooms are equipped with Learning Centers for math, writing, reading, art, science, computer activities, and dramatic play. The experienced teaching staff fosters a “children learn through play” philosophy and maintains an eight to one student-teacher ratio.

For those with a late birthday, the Wheeling Park District offers the “Two to Three – Just Like Me” program. This class is open to children who turn three between September 2 and December 31 and is designed to encourage the transition from home to school through group activities, following directions, and social skills.

Registration for the 2013/2014 school year begins February 1 for current students and March 1 for new students.
