Local activist Linwood "Lennie" Jarratt of Round Lake Beach plans to host a town-hall meeting regarding issues at Grayslake Elementary District 46 on Wednesday night. Jarratt said the session will be held regardless of whether teachers go on strike that day if they don't have a new contract by then. Jarratt said the session, called For Our Children's Future, will be 7 to 9 p.m. at State Bank of the Lakes, 50 Commerce Drive in Grayslake. Jarratt made an unsuccessful run in a Republican state senate primary in 2012 and is founder of the Lake County Tea Party. Jarratt said he's extended an invitation to all District 46 candidates running in the April 9 election.
