From 2 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 25, there will be the usual bounty of food and companionship at the local community kitchen Feed'em Soup, 122 S. First St., DeKalb.

At this special Christmas meal, there will be holiday music and decorations, sweet treats and other great surprises. Those with families are encouraged to bring their kids for a true experience of what the holiday means. As usual, meals are all-you-can-eat.

Feed'em Soup Community Project provides meals to local residents on the second, fourth and fifth Wednesday of each month. Beginning in January, the group will increase meal service to weekly on Wednesdays. The group currently has a plan to increase meal service over the next few years up to 4-5 times each week. Meals are free and are completely open to the public. Donations are welcome but never required. For details, visit www.FeedEmSoup.org.
